PE is divided into LDPE, MDPE and HDPE, namely low, medium and high density. Different densities have different strengths. The strength of HDPE PE80 is 8.00 ~ 9.99Mpa.
Development of HDPE pipe
HDPE pipe is the second largest plastic pipe in the world after PVC-U drainage pipe. Medium or high density polyethylene pipes of PE80 and PE100 grades shall be used for gas transmission; The medium or high density polyethylene pipes of PE80 and PE100 grades are usually used as the water supply pipes.
In Europe, HDPE pipes have been developed and applied more rapidly. HDPE pipes have gradually replaced PVC-U pipes as the main consumer pipes. At the same time, HDPE pipes are gradually used outside Europe.
Grade of HDPE pipe
In the world, HDPE (polyethylene pipe) materials are divided into five grades: PE32, PE40, PE63, PE80 and PE100. The materials used for gas pipe and water supply pipe are mainly PE80 and PE100. The number after PE is the grading number obtained after rounding the minimum required strength of polyethylene raw material.
HDPE PE80 pipe
The 80 in PE80 pipe refers to the minimum required strength of the pipeline, that is, within the 50 year service life of the pipeline under normal conditions, the 97.5% lower confidence limit and the minimum allowable pressure are 8MPa. The maximum bearing pressure is 1.25 mpa. It also means that PE80 is used as the raw material of the pipeline.
PE80 is a masterbatch with antimony trioxide content of 80% on polyethylene substrate, which can be mainly used in casting and film making at the same time. It is a granular free flowing dust-free masterbatch. Compared with traditional powder, it is safer and easier to master the dosage in the production process. It is also considered as a general masterbatch, which can flow freely.
PE80 pipe specifications
PE80 pipe has good flexibility, most of which are medium and small diameter coils.
PE80 SDR17/SDR17.6 0.2MPa 0.8MPa
SDR11 0.4MPa 1.25MPa
PE80 pipe model 1.25mp 1.0mp 0.8mp 0.6mp
The specifications and models of PE water supply pipe include: 6 branch pipes DN20; 1 inch pipe DN25; 2-inch pipe DN50; 4-inch pipe DN100
Abbreviated terms meaning of PE pipe model parameters
Many customers will directly report the specification and model of PE pipe when consulting PE pipe. What do some words and terms of PE pipe model mean?
1. Numbers, such as PE100 or PE80
PE100 refers to the grade of PE pipe. PE100 (100 ~ 1.0Mpa) is the grading number obtained after rounding the minimum required strength (MRS) of polyethylene raw material. According to GB/T18252, determine the hydrostatic strength of the material corresponding to 20 ℃, 50 years and 97.5% prediction probability σ LPL, according to the MRS converted, multiply the MRS by 10 to get the grading number of the material. Generally, PE100, PE80, etc.
2. Mpa
Mpa refers to the pressure grade. PE pipes are generally divided into five grades, namely 0.6Mpa, 0.8Mpa, 1.0Mpa, 1.25Mpa and 1.6Mpa. For example, 0.6Mpa means that PE pipe can withstand 6kg pressure; 1.6Mpa means that PE pipe can withstand 16kg pressure.
3. DN and DE
PE pipe identification DN and DE. The initial DN of PE pipe refers to the nominal diameter. For example, when applied to steel pipes, it refers to the inner diameter. The default is the inner diameter. For example, DN100 PE pipe basically refers to the outer diameter of 110 PE pipe.
4. PN
PN refers to the nominal pressure of PE pipe, which is used to measure the important index of water supply pipe. The nominal pressure is the maximum working pressure of water medium transported by pipes at 20 ℃. If the medium temperature changes, it should be corrected. 5、 SDR SDR refers to the diameter to wall ratio of the pipe, that is, the outer diameter divided by the wall thickness equals 11. The term is the standard size ratio. For example, SDR11 represents the ratio of outer diameter and wall thickness of SDR on PE pipe. SDR11 is 16 kg, SDR13.6 is 12.5 kg, and SDR17 is 10 kg.
The specifications of HDPE 80 pipes are mainly divided into 0.6Mpa, 0.8Mpa, 1.0Mpa, 1.25Mpa, 1.6Mpa from the pressure level. Mpa is the pressure unit, for example, 0.6Mpa means the pressure of 10 kg.

According to the caliber, the specifications of HDPE 80 pipes can be roughly divided into: general HDPE 80 water supply pipe specifications include 4 water pipes, 6 water pipes, 1 inch water pipes, 1 inch 2 water pipes, 1 half inches of water pipes, 2 inches of water pipes, 2 and a half inches of water pipes There are 13 kinds of water pipes, 3-inch water pipes, 4-inch water pipes, 5-inch water pipes, 6-inch water pipes, 8-inch water pipes, 10-inch water pipes and so on. Its specifications include 15mm is 4 points water pipe, 20mm is 6 points water pipe, 25mm is 1' water pipe, 32mm is 1.2' water pipe, 40mm is 1.5' water pipe, 50mm is 2' water pipe, 65mm is 2.5' water pipe, 80mm is 3' water pipe 'Water pipe, 100mm is 4' water pipe, 125mm is 5' water pipe, 150mm is 6' water pipe, 200mm is 8' water pipe, 250mm is 10' water pipe. There are four commonly used water pipes: 15mm4" water pipe, 20mm 6'' water pipe, 25mm1' water pipe, 32mm1.2' water pipe, etc. These are the commonly used specifications.
