PVC-U Drain Pipes & PVC Pipe Fittings features and advantages

1. Unplasticized PVC pipes are made of hard materials without plasticizers. The surface sensitivity and tensile strength of the pipes are excellent, and the pressure resistance grade and pipe safety factor are high.

2. PVC pipe is good in aging resistance. The normal service life can reach more than 50 years.

3. The PVC pipe is superior in decay resistance of various inorganic acid, alkali and salt. PVC pipe is applicable to various industrial waste water drainage and transportation.

4. The fraction coefficient of the pipe is small; the water flow is smooth and not easily blocked. The amount of maintenance work is small.  

5. The oxygen index of the material is high. This PVC pipe belongs to B2 level flame resistant and is self-extinguishing.

6. The expansion coefficient of pipe is small, 0.07mm. The distortion is small due to the influence of the temperature. Compared to same PVC material, it is lower by 100%-130%，the heat conduction coefficient and elastic modulus is small. Its freezing performance is superior compared to that of the iron casting drain pipe.   

7. The pipe and pipe fitting connection can adopt adhesive bonding. The construction method is simple, and the operation is convenient and installation sufficiency is high.

Conventional specifications and models of PVC drainage pipes

The conventional specifications and models of commonly used PVC pipe drainage pipes are as follows: nominal outer diameters are 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 90mm, 110mm, 125mm, 160mm, 180200mm, 250mm, 315mm, 400mm, 500mm, 630mm, etc.

PVC can be divided into soft PVC and hard PVC.

Hard PVC drainage pipes have a nominal outer diameter of 50cm, but the largest soft PVC pipe is generally 50mm.

Specification of rigid PVC drainage pipe: gb/t13020-1991; Specification of flexible PVC pipe: gb/t13527.1-1992;

The nominal outer diameter of rigid PVC drainage pipe is: (unit: mm) 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 630, 710, 800, 900, 1000, etc.

What are the advantages of PVC-U drainage pipe?

1. PVC-U drainage pipe has good tensile and compressive strength, but its flexibility is not as good as other plastic pipes.
   

2. PVC-U drainage pipe has low fluid resistance: the pipe wall of PVC-U pipe is very smooth, and its resistance to fluid is very small. Its roughness coefficient is only 0.009. Its water conveyance capacity can be 20% higher than that of cast iron pipe with the same diameter, and 40% higher than that of concrete pipe.

3. Excellent corrosion resistance and drug resistance: PVC-U pipes have excellent acid, alkali and corrosion resistance, and are not affected by moisture and soil pH. no anti-corrosion treatment is required during pipe laying.

4. Good water tightness: the installation of PVC-U pipes, whether bonded or connected by rubber rings, has good water tightness.

5. Bite prevention: PVC-U pipe is not a nutrient source, so it will not be eroded by rodents. According to the test conducted by relevant institutions, rats will not bite PVC-U pipes.
